🌈 Child Safety Statement

Last updated: 19 July 2026

Kids Songs Learning Hub is committed to providing a positive, respectful and age-appropriate online environment for children, families, parents, carers and educators.

Children’s wellbeing is considered when we create and organise our songs, videos, stories, articles, printable resources and learning activities.

This website is primarily designed to help adults find and supervise family-learning content for toddlers, preschoolers and young children. Parents and carers remain responsible for deciding whether a resource is suitable for the individual child.

Our Commitment to Children’s Safety

We aim to place children’s safety, comfort, privacy and best interests at the centre of our content decisions.

The UK Information Commissioner’s Children’s Code states that the best interests of children should be a primary consideration when designing online services that are likely to be accessed by them.

1. Age-Appropriate Content

Kids Songs Learning Hub creates and organises content for young children and the adults caring for them.

Our resources may include:

  • children’s songs

  • nursery rhymes

  • animated learning videos

  • alphabet and counting activities

  • movement songs

  • healthy-routine resources

  • Bible songs and stories

  • seasonal activities

  • printable learning packs

We aim to avoid:

  • graphic violence

  • sexual or adult themes

  • frightening imagery

  • abusive language

  • dangerous challenges

  • discriminatory messages

  • humiliating or exploitative content

  • instructions encouraging children to keep secrets from trusted adults

Some Bible stories, traditional rhymes or educational topics may contain difficult themes. Parents and carers should preview these resources and explain them in an age-appropriate way.

2. Educational and Family-Learning Purpose

Our resources are intended to support enjoyable activities involving:

  • singing

  • movement

  • listening

  • repetition

  • conversation

  • storytelling

  • counting

  • early vocabulary

  • creativity

  • family interaction

Content is provided for general educational and family-entertainment purposes.

It does not guarantee developmental, behavioural, speech, language or academic progress and should not replace direct teaching, professional assessment, therapy or medical advice.

3. Adult Supervision

Kids Songs Learning Hub is designed to be used with appropriate adult involvement.

Parents, carers and educators should:

  • preview unfamiliar videos and activities

  • supervise young children online

  • choose content suited to the child

  • use parental controls where appropriate

  • supervise crafts and movement activities

  • stop content that causes distress or discomfort

  • help children move from video viewing to hands-on play

Young children should never be left unsupervised during activities involving:

  • scissors

  • glue

  • small cards or counters

  • magnets

  • food

  • water

  • cooking equipment

  • batteries

  • electrical devices

  • outdoor exploration

  • energetic movement

4. Children’s Privacy

Kids Songs Learning Hub does not knowingly ask children to create public profiles or independently submit personal information.

Children should not provide information such as:

  • full names

  • home addresses

  • school names

  • telephone numbers

  • personal email addresses

  • photographs

  • location information

  • health information

  • passwords

  • private family details

Parents and legal guardians should supervise any contact forms, comments, downloads or email subscriptions.

If we become aware that personal information has been submitted by a child without appropriate adult involvement, we will review the situation and take reasonable steps to remove it where required.

Children receive particular protection under UK data-protection law, and online services likely to be accessed by children must consider the Children’s Code.

Please read our full Privacy Policy for information about data collection, cookies and contact requests.

5. Comments and Communication

Where comments or other interactive features are available, users must not post:

  • a child’s personal information

  • bullying or threatening content

  • discriminatory language

  • sexual or adult material

  • spam

  • unsafe links

  • harmful instructions

  • copyrighted material without permission

We may remove comments or submissions that are unsafe, inappropriate or unrelated.

Children should not use public comment areas without adult supervision.

6. External Video Platforms

Some pages include embedded videos or links to services such as YouTube.

Kids Songs Learning Hub does not control external-platform features such as:

  • advertisements

  • suggested videos

  • comments

  • autoplay

  • cookies

  • tracking

  • privacy settings

  • changes to platform content

Parents and carers should:

  • preview videos

  • supervise younger children

  • disable autoplay where possible

  • use restricted or supervised settings

  • avoid leaving long playlists running unattended

  • return to books, conversation and hands-on play afterwards

A link or embedded video does not mean that we approve every advertisement, comment or recommendation shown by the external platform.

7. Advertising

Kids Songs Learning Hub may display advertising supplied by third-party advertising providers.

We aim to configure advertising and consent settings appropriately for our audience and applicable legal requirements. However, we do not directly select or control every advertisement shown by a third-party service.

We do not knowingly permit advertisements that promote unlawful, sexually explicit, violent or clearly age-inappropriate material.

Parents should report any advertisement they believe is unsuitable.

Google provides age-related ad-treatment controls intended to restrict personalised advertising and apply additional protections where appropriate.

Advertising will be kept visually separate from:

  • video controls

  • navigation buttons

  • printable downloads

  • learning activities

  • headings

  • calls to action

We will not encourage children to click advertisements.

8. No Manipulative Design

Kids Songs Learning Hub does not intentionally use design techniques that pressure children to:

  • disclose unnecessary personal information

  • weaken privacy protections

  • make purchases

  • click advertisements

  • continue watching indefinitely

  • feel excluded for not paying

  • believe that expensive products are required for learning

The Children’s Code advises services not to use nudges that encourage children to provide unnecessary personal data or reduce their privacy protections.

9. Sensory and Accessibility Considerations

Children respond differently to sounds, movement, flashing visuals, music, textures and busy designs.

Parents and carers may need to:

  • lower the volume

  • pause or stop a video

  • use audio without the screen

  • simplify an activity

  • provide extra time

  • choose quieter content

  • adapt movement

  • allow the child to observe rather than participate

Children should not be forced to sing, dance, speak or complete an activity.

Stop if a child appears frightened, overwhelmed, distressed or physically uncomfortable.

10. Positive and Respectful Representation

We aim to create content that is welcoming to children from different:

  • family structures

  • cultures

  • backgrounds

  • abilities

  • learning needs

  • skin tones

  • communities

We avoid presenting one type of family, ability or childhood experience as the only normal or acceptable one.

11. Faith-Based Content

Some areas of Kids Songs Learning Hub contain Christian songs, prayers and Bible stories.

Faith content should be used respectfully and adapted to the child’s age and understanding.

Children should never be told that:

  • illness is caused by a lack of faith

  • fear makes them a bad Christian

  • prayer replaces medical help

  • they must face danger alone

  • abuse should remain secret

  • seeking professional help shows weak faith

Prayer and faith activities do not replace safeguarding action, healthcare, counselling or emergency support.

12. Safeguarding Concerns

Kids Songs Learning Hub is not an emergency service and cannot investigate individual safeguarding concerns through the website.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service or child-protection authority in your location.

Do not post safeguarding allegations or identifying details about a child in a public comment.

13. Reviewing and Updating Content

We periodically review pages, videos, links, printables and safety wording.

We may update or remove content when:

  • information becomes outdated

  • a link becomes unsafe or unavailable

  • a video changes

  • concerns are reported

  • legal or platform requirements change

  • a resource no longer meets our standards
